Before we headed off last week to do the second part of Enid Blyton trail we needed some refreshments. Refreshments of the old fashioned sugary variety. We were in Corfe Castle to catch a train and popped into the old fashioned sweet shop.
What a choice!
Bonbons proved popular.
Next stop the Ginger Pop shop, dedicated to Enid Blyton. It even had a Wishing Chair outside in case you were in need of some magic.
We carefully perused the windows for the next clue.
Then off to the little station and this is where I probably need to explain I am definitely not a trainspotter. I just got a bit carried away with photographing all the lovely old fashioned 'stuff'.
However that is not to say that I did not love that little station.

Then it arrived. Our transport for the day!

We were riding the Swanage Railway in search of our next clue.

More Fortes icecreams to be enjoyed.
Little Jammer had her first taste of Punch and Judy
and shrieked with surprise and laughter.

Such a lovely post - old fashioned sweet shops, steam trains, sunshine, punch and judy...how wonderful. It looks as though they had a lot of fun! I adore old fashioned sweet shops, especially when they sell Coltsfoot Rock, which is harder and harder to get these days. That photo of the three ice creams with the beach in the background is brilliant. x

looks great! Ive been past there but we didnt stop. I definately think we need more sweetie shops like that. I remember getting a 10p mix on the way to school that i had to share with my sister. ahhhhhhhh yummmmm
